This coming spring we have the great privilege at LifePoint of hosting the internationally known and accredited “Perspectives on the World Christian Movement” course. Every year, over 200 classes in the USA and 50 more around the world bring this life changing course to their city. Since 1974, God has been blessing the movement now with 100,000+ alumni and 10,000+ participants annually.
This is a college level course that we are hosting in our facility. It will take place one night a week (Tuesdays) for three hours (6:30-9:30pm) over 15 weeks, beginning January 22. There is a different instructor each week, and students will learn from a network of over 2,000 experts in theology, history, Kingdom business, and cross-cultural ministry. If you have any interest in global mission, the world Christian movement, or the history and future of the mission of God in your culture or around the world, this is a course you should definitely pray about taking part in.
More information is available in the LifePoint Church office or lobby, including the course schedule, topics, and pricing. This course can be audited for personal enrichment, or taken for college or graduate-level credit, and credits are granted through Trinity International University and Western Seminary.
When approached by a friend and fellow pastor about the potential to host this course at LPC, I jumped at the opportunity. I’ve been familiar with Perspectives, which is a ministry of the U.S. Center for World Missions, since seminary. A number of the faculty members at Gordon-Conwell have contributed to the course and course materials over the years, and this material was very well known and respected on campus. I’m thrilled that LPC has the opportunity to be the “home base” for this course in the Camas/Vancouver area this spring.
