I am pleased to announce that after a long and in-depth national search process, LifePoint Church has officially hired a new Music/Arts Pastor. Tyler Clarensau (pronounced “clair-en-saw”) will be joining the LPC team on December 1, 2012. Tyler will be moving to Vancouver from Wichita, Kansas at the end of November with his wife Katie and their two year-old daughter, Molly.
Tyler comes to LPC from an Assemblies of God church in Wichita where he served on staff as the director of Media and Finance for the last 7 years. Tyler and Katie are both graduates of Wichita State University, Tyler’s degree is in business and entrepreneurship, Katie’s in nursing. Molly is currently working on a degree in cuteness (she’ll be transferring to Clark College here in Vancouver when they move). Tyler is a Kansas City Royals fan, and firmly believes that George Brett was not at fault in any way in the so-called “pine-tar incident” of July 24, 1983. He has also been known to root for the Kansas City Chiefs (a one-time NFL franchise).
At LPC Tyler will oversee all things associated with music and arts; including music, tech, and media. He will work to equip our musicians, build bands, train personnel in all aspects of media, and develop the LifePoint music and arts DNA. He is an accomplished musician and song-writer, and will make a significant impact as a part of the LPC leadership team. You can find some samples of a few of Tyler’s music ventures on iTunes by searching “Clarensau.”
We’re excited to welcome Tyler, Katie, and Molly into the LPC family this holiday season!
