Great video! It really touches all of the excuses that many use to argue why they can’t go to church.

  2. Mendi Yoshikawa says:

Great video! They missed my excuse of many years which was Sunday’s was my only day to sleep in, but I think you have more than solved that for most people. 😉

  3. Tim Padget says:

Spot on. There are so many misconceptions about church and the people there. If only we could shatter all of them.

And you aren’t using YouTube for sermon research are you? If so, can I join your research team?

But seriously, a very good video.

  4. Jeff Miles says:

Like it. Like it a lot!

  5. Jim Connett says:

Loved the video…I especially liked the statement about denominational backgrounds as defined by “a little bit of everything and a whole lot of nothing”.

But after the glow of humor subsided, I thought “how sad” on so many different levels. These perceptions can really only come from one place…the church! With that realization, it’s hard to watch something like this and not feel a tinge of guilt, or a thought of wonder–if maybe, at some point in the past, something I said or did–or an action I took or didn’t take–inadvertently reinforced one of those perceptions. How sad that maybe my “witness” (or lack of) was a barrier to someone simply seeking “The Answer”, when in reality, I was (and still am) just as much a sinner saved by grace as THEY could have been! Lord, forgive me…forgive us.

By God’s mercy and grace, may these false perceptions be destroyed, and may LPC be known as the place where imperfect people Are allowed, where grace IS required, and where socks ARE optional!

Hmmm…whatdya think, Pastor Andrew…no socks this Sunday?

  6. Brian Butcher says:

    Great video!

  7. Very well said Jim Connett–

And yes, I’m in full support of “no socks.”

  8. Arria Connett says:

I really liked that! 😀 “The dress code is just wear some clothes!”… AMEN! But on a serious note, it is sooo true to just “come as you are” and to be yourself… Church is the last place you should be someone your not.

  9. Very well done and well said.
